Capacity Building Training of Male Advocates and Champions on Violence against Women and Girls in Sokoto/Adamawa State

The Sultan Foundation for Peace and Development in partnership with UN-Women organized a 2 day capacity building workshop in Sokoto and Adamawa States to train Male Advocates and Champions to continuously speak on Violence Against Women and Girls as well as Sexual and Gender Based Violence as part of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative Project holding on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th June 2020.

It is expected that participants at the end of the training should be able to speak up against Gender based Violence (GBV) and harmful practices in the communities by reporting suspected, and current cases to appropriate authorities. They should also be respond when such cases are being reported to them.

In attendance the DPO Binji LGA, D.O Civil Defense Binji LGA, Alh. Aminu Dikko,Mabudin Binji, Sheikh Liman Sabo (Cheif Imam of Binji), Alh. Musa M Galadanchi, and Dr. Fatima Binta Musa
