Ishaq Akintola is a human rights activist, Islamic preacher, researcher, scholar and blogger (drishaqakintola.blogspot.com). He is the founder and Director of the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), an Islamic human rights organization which promotes Allah-given fundamental human rights (muslimrightsmuric.blogspot.com, www.muric.net).
Akintola teaches Islamic Studies at the Lagos State University (LASU). He possesses B. A. (Hons) Simultaneous Translation (Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt), M.A. Arabic & Islamic Studies (University of Ibadan, Nigeria) and Ph.D Islamic Studies (University of Ilorin, Nigeria). He has held responsible posts as Head of Department of Religions and Dean, Faculty of Arts in the university. He has published academic articles in renowned local and international journals. He has also published several books. The most popular among his books are The Friday Question and Shariah in Nigeria: an Eschatological Desideratum. Akintola is Fulbright Scholar and Professor of Islamic eschatology.
Akintola is the founder and Ambassador of Telly Dawah Embassy, a preaching outfit which features on radio and television in South West Nigeria.
